Eater Boston, “15 New Restaurants to try around Boston”

“Chef Jose Duarte opened Tambo 22 just two weeks before Massachusetts restaurants closed for dine-in service in March 2020. No newcomer to the local dining scene, Duarte ran Peruvian-meets-Italian restaurant Taranta in Boston’s North End for 20 years before closing it in August 2020 as a result of the pandemic’s effects on tourism, corporate events, sports, and more. But fortunately for fans of Duarte’s cooking, Tambo 22 lives on. Located in Chelsea, the new Peruvian restaurant hits the classics — ceviche, lomo saltado, etc. — exceptionally well, but the absolute must-try is the banana leaf-wrapped paiche, an Amazonian freshwater fish Duarte has been praising for years (with good reason).”
